Accountant needed at Gilmore Partners Greater Toronto Area, Canada

On behalf of our client, we have been retained on an Accountant search for their organization. Our client is a leader in the investment management space. Our client offers up a tremendous work/life balance, the opportunity to work with a truly outstanding team, very interesting work and a strong overall compensation package. This role will be based out of their Downtown Toronto office 3 days a week, and the remaining 2 days a week work from home.

The ideal candidate for this role would have much of the following :

• 3+ years of full cycle accounting experience – ideally within the investment management / professional services world
• Strong ASPE experience
• Strong Excel experience and experience with Sage would be a bonus
• Experience with investment accounting and the various transactions, bank account management, wire management, and draft management that come along with it
• Experience with expense reporting
• Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
• Experience preparing files for external auditors
• Experience preparing year-end adjusting entries
• Experience in a multi-currency environment would be beneficial
