Laurel Steel, located in Burlington is looking to add the right candidates to fill the role Credit Analyst.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assessing credit applications and establishing credit limits.
  • Exceptional knowledge of financial statements analysis with the ability to make recommendations on customer credit risk.
  • Manage a portfolio of approx. 500 accounts and ensure credit files are maintained in accordance with Laurel Steels credit policies and procedures.
  • Ensure account balances are collected in a timely manner.
  • Support Leadership in setting and achieving key performance metrics (KPI’s)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with both customers and our internal sales team.
  • Manage Account Receivable Insurance contract.
  • Provide back-up support for billing as needed.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post secondary diploma preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Certified Credit Professional (CCP) Designation or willingness to enroll.
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, considered an asset.
  • Exceptional Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Proven communication skills. The ability to have difficult conversations.
  • Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates high professional standards regarding customer service and handling confidential and sensitive material.
