The opportunity

We are seeking a Director, Corporate Communications to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.

As the Director, Corporate Communications, you will lead the development and execution of our corporate and internal communications strategies and activities to bring BC Pension Corporation’s purpose, strategic plan, and brand promise to life, and motivate staff to action. You will enhance external talent acquisition marketing and communications through digital content creation for use across multiple channels to promote the corporation as an employment destination and attract top talent. This role requires a thought leader who is able to set a strong communications and marketing vision for the organization and drive accountability with team members to maximize deliverables and a return on investment. You will drive multi-channel communication initiatives to deliver products and exceptional people experiences, establish key metrics, and demonstrate progress against defined goals.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

Bachelor Degree in communications and/or business, or a related degree; Master's Degree is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field may be considered;

15 years of experience in internal communications, preferably in the financial sector.

10 years of experience at a senior level leading a progressive communications function within a multi-stakeholder, diverse and complex organization.

10 years of experience developing and implementing digital marketing and communication solutions.

Preference for those with experience developing marketing strategies for:

Talent acquisition

Corporate products and services

New business development opportunities

10 years of experience leading interdisciplinary teams to achieve common goals.
