As a member of the Engineering Team as an Electrical Designer, you will work in the Logistics & Sustaining Engineering (L&SE) program (to support On-Orbit Space Station activities), and/or Gateway External Robotics System, and/or planetary/lunar rovers, and/or R&D activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cable harness designs for space and terrestrial applications Design cable mechanisms for rotary interfaces Perform cable routing and 3D modelling Experience with environmental testing and designing cables according to TVAC, thermal, EMC, & vibration design considerations Prepare System Level Power, Grounding and Bonding Architectures Develop production, assembly and parts list drawings Good understanding of NASA 8739.4 & IPC/WHMA-A-620.
- Good understanding of cable design analysis such as Signal Integrity, Voltage Drop, Cross-talk, Cable Bundling, bend radius & EMC.
- Understanding of FMEA, SEE Criticality Analysis, Cumulative Dose, Radiation Effects Mitigation, & Charging Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical Understand the client’s requirements Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams

Knowledge of geometrical tolerancing, drawing standards Knowledge of space sector Experience with NX/Teamcenter, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, MS Visio
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Aerospace, Engineering or Physics/Applied Mathematics or Engineering Science is an asset. Candidates with a Technologist diploma may also apply.
- Candidates will be considered for the Junior, Intermediate and/or Designer levels based on their years of experience.
