About You

As our Marketing Specialist, you’ll harness your marketing skills and leverage your expertise to play a pivotal role in empowering our marketing department! Under the expert guidance of our Marketing Director, you will support in the development and execution of a wide range of captivating initiatives.

As this is a remote opportunity, we're seeking a proactive self-starter who can excel independently and manage their own projects. Your expertise in event management, social media, customer relationship management, content creation and graphic design will be the secret sauce in our recipe for success!

Key Responsibilities

In this fast-paced and exciting role, you’ll get to dig into a bit of everything. Here’s what you can expect to do as our Marketing Specialist:

  • Assist and lead in planning, coordinating, and executing memorable events, from leveraging our conference attendance to hosting prospecting and networking events, both in-person and virtual.
  • Collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to orchestrate seamless event logistics, including venue selection, catering, booth signage and setup, promotional materials, and audiovisual requirements.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends and identify target audience preferences to generate relevant and engaging content.
  • Assist with campaign management and execution for paid media, SEO, and other demand-generation initiatives.
  • Identify business development opportunities by monitoring and analyzing marketing campaign performance metrics, and providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Channel your creativity by developing compelling written content for various marketing initiatives, including website copy, blog posts, social media content, email campaigns, and internal/external presentations.
  • Create eye-catching graphics for marketing collateral, including one-pagers, brochures, flyers, social media posts, conference materials, and more!
  • Drive Easly’s LinkedIn strategy, including planning and posting engaging content; interacting with partners, sponsorships, and customers; collaborating with the sales team to boost posts and expand visibility; and monitoring competitor activities to fuel content creation.
  • Collaborate with our marketing team, assisting with various administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, note-taking, and managing calendars.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience in relevant areas including event planning, content creation, social media, and graphic design.
  • Working knowledge of Canva or Adobe CC coupled with an exceptional eye for detail, allowing you to create visually aesthetic marketing materials.
  • Working knowledge with CRMs, email marketing tools, and writing aids (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pardot, Mailchimp, Grammarly, and ChatGPT, to name a few!).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication to own interactions with key stakeholders and create compelling content across diverse marketing channels.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills allowing you to deliver quality results within set deadlines.
  • A motivated self-starter that can be productive without direct oversight.
  • An energetic demeanor coupled with an eagerness to learn!

Bonus Qualifications

  • Fluent in French Canadian.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and Pardot (Account Engagement).
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Familiarity with Canadian marketing trends and regulations.
  • A strong grasp of AI-powered tools and how to use them to work more efficiently.
  • A basic understanding of business finance (e.g., the difference between debt and equity).
  • A basic understanding of the Canadian government funding programs for businesses, such as Investment Tax Credits.
