Applications are invited to apply for the MLU PhD Scholarship Program 2026 in Germany. All International candidates are welcome to apply for the Scholarships. In order to improve our understanding of how complexity arises in molecular systems, a total of roughly 25 PhD researchers will conduct soft matter research that combines disciplines as diverse as physical chemistry, spectroscopy, synthetic organic and polymeric synthesis, biophysical and bio-chemistry, theoretical chemistry, and mathematics.
If you are ready to explore the exciting field of soft matter science and influence the future of molecular systems, The Research Training Group RTG2670 “Beyond Amphiphilicity: Self-Organization of Soft Matter via Multiple Noncovalent Interactions” at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (Germany) has officially launched applications for 9 fully funded PhD places. This one-of-a-kind program is to revolutionize interdisciplinary science. With approximately 25 doctorate researchers from across the world, you will participate in cutting-edge studies that investigate chemical and physical transitions such as phase transitions, crystallization, catalysis, molecular aggregation, and nanoscale solvation. Think beyond the fundamentals of amphiphilicity to a universe where noncovalent interactions reshape soft matter.
Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, usually known as MLU, is a public research university located in the cities of Halle and Wittenberg. It is the biggest and oldest university in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. MLU provides German and international (English) courses. The institution was formed in 1817 by the merger of the institution of Wittenberg (established in 1502) and the University of Halle (founded in 1694).
