The Product Quality Auditor is responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product meets the established standards set by Conestoga Meats at various stages of production, including the quality of the finished product, as well as looking after room temperatures. The Product Quality Auditor will perform data analysis of all the results gathered and share it with employees. This role will also work closely with the lead hands and production supervisors to ensure appropriate corrective measures are taken when there is a deviation in production.

Responsibilities
Assess the quality of finished product and packaged product through visual inspection/comparison to product specification
Inspect 5 kg (approx.) of each product from each of the production lines as well as packaged product once every hour to 1.5 hours
Data analysis of results and posting of results for KPI communication boards
Developing, Improving, and Reviewing KPI’s with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
Spearhead initiatives to improve product quality on the production floor
Engage and Communicate results to lead hands and production supervisors to ensure appropriate corrective action is taken for deviations.
Follow up and ensure corrective actions and preventative measures are sustained to maintain product quality
Review customer complaints with production and HACCP team. Identify trends and areas of focus.
Collect product samples as required
Other QA duties as required that are within the employee’s restrictions such as back-up for room temperatures, product temperatures, sanitizer temperatures
Qualifications
Grade 12 education or equivalent
Good communication skills
Good record keeping skills and attention to detail
Good knowledge of product specifications, HACCP and Food Safety
Good inter-personnel skills to be able to work with production supervisors, lead hands, sales personnel and QA personnel
Good computer skills
