Qualifications
High school graduation and two years of post-secondary education with training in database, spreadsheet, and word applications, and office procedures. 2 years experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable.
- 60 wpm keyboarding skill with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to use database, spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and data visualization applications (e.g. MS Word Suite, Tableau, Outlook, Filemaker, etc) at an intermediate level.
- Ability to use enterprise level information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, FAST, SIMS) at an intermediate level.
- Ability to use desktop publishing applications (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) at an intermediate level.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work and complete a high volume of work within deadlines.
- Ability to compile and collate data from a variety of sources.
- Excellent prioritization, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and customer service skill.
- Excellent knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and composition.
- Excellent attention to detail, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Excellent knowledge of standard office practices, methods, and equipment.
- Good knowledge of budgeting and bookkeeping practices.
- Ability to work cross-culturally with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to exercise mature judgment, initiative and creative problem-solving.
- Ability to work with confidential/sensitive material with discretion.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasionally evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel to other campuses and off campus sites.
- Ability to lift office supplies weighing up to 10 kg.
