Applying for a student visa or study permit in Canada can be a challenging process that requires prior experience to navigate and complete successfully. If you are applying for a student visa, there are simple steps you can take to streamline the application process.

Each year, tens of thousands of study permit applications are submitted to the Canadian Immigration offices; however, not all applications are granted a visa. However, you can use these tips to have your application approved more quickly.

Are you seeking a study permit? Here are five things you will find acceptable.
Conduct Research
If this is your first time applying for a student visa, you should conduct extensive research to determine the basic requirements to begin the visa application process and the general flow of the application procedure.

Ensure that your documents are prepared and properly signed.
Nothing causes more delays than missing documents, and invalid or incomplete documents can send you scurrying back and forth to the visa office without a sense of direction. Visit the Visa Application Centre (VAC) closest to you for clarification and assistance if you are uncertain about which documents are required to complete your application. The VAC will assist you in addressing any questions or concerns in your native language. They would also provide an application tracking service and help you transfer your personal information and documents. Additionally, you must visit a VAC to complete your biometrics.

Submit your application online or via the Visa Application Centre in your area.
Online submissions to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) are significantly faster. Visit a VAC in your area if you need further clarification or wish to speak with a person in person about the visa application process. They are qualified to assist you in ensuring that your application is complete and meets all requirements.

Early Application Submission
Early submission of your application is a great way to expedite the processing of your visa. If there are no problems with your documents and you meet all the requirements, your visa application should be approved within three months. It is recommended to apply for a study permit four to six months prior to the start of classes.

Identify a Financial Sponsor
Ensure you have a sponsor who will cover your costs and fees for future studies before submitting. If you are applying for a study permit in January, your sponsor must provide a five-month bank statement covering the months of December, November, October, September, and August of the previous calendar year.
