Full job description

Looking for a job where you can get exercise while you work. We are hiring Housekeepers to clean and maintain our complex the Blackcomb Springs Suites. If you are up for the challenge below are some of the responsibilities of the position.

Job duties of this position include:

• Cleaning and disinfecting wash basins, counter tops, toilets, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
• Washing and drying glass surfaces.
• Loading dishwashers and putting away clean dishes and cutlery.
• Washing and drying other items such as pots and pans.
• Emptying and cleaning trash containers.
• Dusting furniture and fixtures.
• Vacuuming carpets and upholstery, moving furniture when required.
• Making up beds and changing linens as required.
• Replace dirty linen and used amenities in bathrooms.
• Sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Restocking room supplies such as glassware, coffee, and writing supplies.
• Checking all appliances are in working order and reporting any deficiencies.
• Checking vacant rooms and reporting or performing any required touch ups.
• Assist with cleaning the public areas, washrooms and elevators when required.
• Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
• Respond to guest requests for additional items.
• Observe and report damage to hotel property.

Previous customer service and housekeeping experience is an asset but not required. This is a very physical and demanding position requiring lifting 20 lbs and push up to 50 lbs. If you are up for the challenge you must be able to bend, lift, push and pull with ease.We cannot provide sponsorship or an LMIA at this time you will require your own work permit to apply.

There is shared accommodation available and its a great way to meet people from all over the world. If you choose to reside in shared accommodation, it comes fully furnished with linens, cookware, free internet, and cable for only $28/day. All units have 2-3 bedrooms,2-3 bathrooms, full kitchens, and in-suite laundry. Unfortunately there are no single bedrooms or pets permitted as all areas of the houses are shared. We do limit occupancy in the houses to ensure a comfortable living environment.
