Our client is a leading name in the food industry and one of the fastest growing global producers of several household product names. They are looking to add a commercially minded newly qualified accountant to their finance function.

Who should apply?
This role will be suited to a Newly Qualified Accountant:
- ACA/ACCA (0-2 years PQE);
- Experience with FMCG is beneficial but not essential;
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Role and Reporting Lines
The role reports directly to the Financial Controller and includes the following:
- Reporting – Preparation of quarterly management accounts, B/S reconciliations and year-end accounts
- Weekly and monthly performance analysis versus budgets/forecasts;
- Providing critical commentary on business performance and notable variances;
- Preparation of presentations for senior management with insightful financial and commercial information to assist decision making and value creation;
- Assist with preparation of yearly budgets, rolling forecasts, and 3 to 5-year business plans;
- Appraisal and analysis of commercial proposals and capex projects as requested;
- Ongoing monitoring of business overheads to ensure they are within budget and to consider if cost savings can be made;
- Assist in ad-hoc projects with the Finance Controller as required.
