Renovation and Construction Warehouse Worker and Drivers needed in Ontario Canada

Responsible for moving, shipping, storing or unloading various (at times heavy) materials either by hand or with the use of machinery. Will be required to operate a forklift or other machinery to unload very heavy items.

Duties include:

• Unloading equipment, storing equipment, and moving and transporting materials.
• Sort and count materials going in or out of the warehouse.
• Keep track of tools and equipment removed from warehouse and ensure they are returned in proper working order.
• Load and unload materials
• Take inventory of materials shipped or received; sort, organize, and keep track of inventory of both incoming and outgoing products
• Store, count, and open materials received
• Load and unload trucks, and other vehicles for transporting goods
• Organize materials for jobs
• Label boxes to identify materials
• Dispose of leftover packing materials such as wooden crates, pallets, and cardboard in an appropriate manner
• Drive delivery vehicle
• Load and unload products to be delivered, products could be 50 lbs or more
• Inspect the delivery vehicle regularly
• Add fuel and maintain detailed records of fuel costs and mileage
• Deliver items by the required delivery date and time
• Assemble or install items upon delivery
• Collect payment or get signatures for proof of delivery
• Ensure all items being delivered remain intact during transport and delivery

• Experience in a construction oriented environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Flexible
• Dependable
• Knowledge of technology and machinery used for transporting or storing materials
• Understanding of inventory
• Awareness of Safety and Security measures to prevent injuries
• Understanding of how to dispose of hazardous waste material in a safe manner
• Ability to use computer technology to make labels, track inventory, and keep a record of storage
• Ability to work well with others
• Prior experience working in a warehouse is A MUST.
• Education and training requirements
• Valid Driver’s license
• Valid Forklift license
• Secondary school diploma
• A clean driving record for the last 12 months
